1. Ramkhamhaeng University Main Campus 

                The main campus of Ramkhamhaeng University is on an area of land covering approximately 300 rai (120 acres), located on Ramkhamhaeng Road at Hua Mak in an eastern suburb of Bangkok. 

                Looking back to fifty years ago, the plot of land in the Hua Mak area, which was in the time used as a venue for the international trade exhibition center, was chosen by the government as the site for Thailand’s newest institution of higher learning: Ramkhamhaeng University. 

                Since that time, the university has made great efforts to improve, respectively, the infrastructure, the landscape, and immediate surroundings of RU main campus so as to create a more conducive academic environment.

2. RU Bang Na Campus

                RU Bang Na Campus was established in 1984 on donated covering approximately 150 rai (60 acres), located on the Bang Na-Trad Highway, about 25 kilometers from the main campus of Ramkhamhaeng University at Hua Mak. Classes for freshmen are conducted at this campus, as well as for graduate students studying in certain fields, while classes for students from the second year onwards are held on the main campus. The facilities there are on par with those available at the main campus.

3. RU Regional Campus in Honor of His Majesty The King 

                Given its long-standing commitment to providing equal opportunity in the field of education for all Thais, especially, those who have long lacked such opportunities, since 1995, guided by the vision of the Former President, Associate Professor Rangsan Saengsook, Ramkhamhaeng University, in cooperation with government agencies and members of the private sector in the region, has established a series of Regional campuses in Honor of His majesty The King, covering all regions of Thailand.                  The launch of distance learning for the regional campuses, for both undergraduate and graduate levels at Ramkhamhaeng University, has been a great success, and places Ramkhamhaeng University at the forefront of the trend towards distance learning in Thailand.

                At present there are 23 regional campuses, all of which function as part of the Ramkhamhaeng University System, and more are being added. All campuses, serving as both academic and cultural centers, not only provide regional and local access to academics on campuses, but also strengthen closer ties with the surrounding community through a variety of cultural activities.

                The regional campuses throughout the country have formally bear the name “Ramkhamhaeng University Regional Campus in Honor of His majesty The King” to mark the occasion of the 50th Anniversary celebrations of H.M. The King’s Accession to the Throne and 60th Anniversary celebrations of H.M. The King’s Accession to the Throne.

                RU regional campuses are located in the following provinces:

                Northern Thailand: Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai Phetchabun, Phrae, Sukhothai, Uthai Thani

                North-easthern  Thailand: Amnat charoen, Buri Ram, Chaiyaphum, Khon Kaen, Nakhon Phanom, Nakhon Ratchasima, Nong Bua Lam Phu, Si Sa Ket, Surin, Udon Thani

                Central Thailand, the East and the West: Lop Buri, Kanchanaburi, Prachin Buri

                Southern Thailand: Nakhon Si thammarat, Phangnga, Songkhla, Trang

                These regional campuses play a vital role in developing the kind of human resources essential to the future development of the country.

4. RU Regional Examination Centers

                Currently Ramkhamhaeng University provides 41 regional examination centers in 39 various provinces nationwide, where undergraduate students from those areas can choose to take their final examination near home: Amnat Charoen, Buri Ram, Chaiyaphum, Chanthaburi, Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, Chumphon, Khon Kaen, Kanchanaburi, Lop Buri, Nan, Nakhon Pathom, Nakhon Phanom, Nakhon Ratchasima, Nakhon Sawan, Nakhon Si Thammarat, Nong Bua Lam Phu, Phangnga, Phetchabun, Phitsanulok, Phrae, Prachin Buri, Prachuap Khiri Khan, Ratchaburi, Roi Et, Sa Kaeo, Sakon Nakhon, Si Sa Ket, Songkhla, Sukhothai, Suphan Buri, Surat Thani, Surin, Trang, Ubon Ratchathani, Udon Thani, Uthai Thani and Uttaradit (* Two examination centers)

5. RU Regional Academic Services Centers for Special Programs

                To further enhance its academic services to society at large and local communities; the university also provides various quality Special Programs at the Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree levels, in addition to short-courses, in regional provinces, as well as in Bangkok, in order to make a wide variety of academic services available to the community and to society at large, and to foster the development of human resources, both in the public and private sectors. RU’s Special Programs are well-Known and constitute a role model for supporting lifelong learning for all.

6. RU Academic Services Center in Honor of His Majesty The King

                Ramkhamhaeng University has expanded in terms of providing equality of opportunity in higher education, not only nationally, but also globally. Ramkhamhaeng University affords educational opportunities for Thais residing overseas. Currently, total of 41 examination centers in 32 countries are provided.

                In this regard, the university has received generous support and assistance from Royal Thai Embassies and Consulates General in these countries, as well as the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Also, in Honor of His Majesty The King, RU has also established an Overseas Academic Services Center to oversee this venture. The overall aim is to encourage and enable Thais overseas to enjoy the same opportunities as those residing here in Thailand.

7. The Institute of International Studies

                Among the many developments at Ramkhamhaeng University, the Institute of International Studies was established in 1999 with the aim of offering various international programs. The Institute offers various English and Chinese programs, both at the undergraduate and graduate levels, including the Ph.D. level, for Thai and international students - - in conjunction with universities overseas, in an ongoing effort to embrace the spirit of internationalization.

                All courses are taught by experienced visiting professors and lecturers from leading universities abroad, who take turn to come and lecture at the Institute. These visiting professors provide a unique global perspective to all teaching at the Institute of International Studies.

                The Institute of International Studies is well-known in international academic circles: and, as such, nearly 2,000 students are currently enrolled. These students are both Thais (53%) and foreign (47 %). The foreign students from forty-nine countries worldwide.

 8. Faculties

                Currently the university comprises 13 faculties and a Graduate School, as in the following: Faculty of Business Administration, Faculty of Economics, Faculty of Education, Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Fine and Applied Arts, Faculty of Humanities, Faculty of Human Resource Development, Faculty of Law, Faculty of Mass Communication, Faculty of Optometry, Faculty of Political Science, Faculty of Science, Faculty of Public Health, The Graduate School
